Health professionals use a variety of educational resources in their day-to-day work…..but how useful, appropriate, and effective are these resources with clients?Jill Avis is completing her PhD in the Dept of Pediatrics (UAlberta) and is leading a mixed-methods project (Primary Care Resources for Obesity in Pediatrics: PROP) to study health professionals’ perceptions and experiences regarding educational resources used for obesity prevention in children. ┬áPreliminary results from the PROP Study were presented this week by Angela Komarinski, a 4th year Nutrition student who recently completed a research practicum with Jill. Will post more details here once the results of this study are finalized later this year.

Great job, Angela and Jill!
