Almost two years ago, I received an email out-of-the-blue asking if we had room in our research group for a visiting scientist from Norway.
Fast-forward to a few weeks ago when Dr. Ane Kokkvoll (and her family!) arrived in Edmonton to spend the next year immersed in childhood obesity research at UAlberta. Ane plans to extend her existing research that she started in Norway (see HERE and HERE for a couple of her recent papers) as well as contribute to some of our ongoing projects.
Although she’s only been here a short while, Ane has already been well-acquainted with a few local highlights, including Fort Edmonton Park, Edmonton’s beautiful River Valley, and cinnamon buns from The Sugar Bowl.
Looking forward to a productive and memorable year. Welcome Ane!
