Anyone who studies or works in academia knows there are many opportunities…
…to receive ‘constructive feedback’ and experience disappointing news, whether it’s a low grade in a course, a rejected manuscript, or a poorly-ranked grant application. So, when good news comes along, it’s important to celebrate.
It’s my pleasure to share news that our own Maryam Kebbe (PhD Student, Dept of Pediatrics, UAlberta) was one of very few students across the country to receive a PhD Scholarship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. This prestigious award will fund Maryam for the remainder of her degree as she continues her research focused on improving health services for adolescents with obesity. Congratulations, Maryam!
